Partner. A member of the Paris bar and founder of Bavoillot Avocats. More than twenty years as general counsel to financial and industrial groups — Worms, CDR, ArcelorMittal, Areva — and as board secretary.

Founder of Bavoillot Avocats, François Bavoillot holds a DEA in business law and economics from Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

He is a senior lecturer at Sciences Po Law School.

A member of the Paris bar, he works in corporate governance, company law, business development and financial transactions, as well as CSR and industrial environmental law. He has built a specific practice in energy law and nuclear law.

Bavoillot Avocats advises clients in France and internationally through a network of legal experts who join the firm's work according to the fields involved and the particulars of each matter.

François Bavoillot has more than twenty years' experience as group general counsel, as board secretary and as a lawyer in France and internationally. He was general counsel in a number of financial and industrial groups (Worms, CDR, ArcelorMittal, Areva), with an active practice across company law, corporate governance and business law — in particular mergers and acquisitions, financial and securities law, industrial contracts, energy and nuclear law, competition and distribution law, and dispute resolution.

Within those groups he served as secretary to executive committees and as a board member. He has also held directorships in France and internationally for subsidiaries of industrial groups, and has developed a substantial practice in corporate governance.

He has built recognised expertise in industrial environmental law and energy law, and is co-author of Droit de l'environnement industriel (Nouvelles Éditions Fiduciaires).
