Rachid Belkahia

Managing partner — Morocco

Managing partner of Associés en Gouvernance Maroc. A senior executive and professor of corporate finance, a co-founder of the Moroccan institute of directors, he helped write Morocco's first codes of good governance, published in 2008.

Rachid Belkahia has a dual career as a senior executive of mid-sized companies and as a university professor of corporate finance. He has more than thirty years' professional experience in Morocco, as secretary general and board secretary of Chantiers et Ateliers du Maroc, then as director and chief executive, and later chairman and chief executive, of Eramedic (Cofimag group).

He chaired the ethics and good governance commission of the CGEM and contributed decisively to Morocco's first codes of good corporate governance practice, published in 2008. A co-founder of the Institut Marocain des Administrateurs (IMA), he sits on its board and coordinates its company director certificate (CAS), run with the Université Internationale de Rabat.

Today he is managing partner of Associés en Gouvernance Maroc, an ESG expert with the International Finance Corporation (World Bank group) and an independent director.

An honorary professor, he teaches business ethics at ISCAE Casablanca (EMBA) and corporate governance at IAE Lille University School of Management (Master's in international financial analysis).
